Grant Shapps proposes tougher jail sentences for killer cyclists https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11085913/Killer-cyclists-face-tougher-jail-sentences-crackdown-proposed-Grant-Shapps.html?ito=native_share_article-masthead

Why don't they just make cycling illegal?

Re: Cyclists
Agree with Scott and adopt the same policy myself. Nothing worse that a irate white van man trying to over take on a narrow road. Pull over at the first safe opportunity and let motorists past.

Re: Cyclists
There are some stubborn cyclists and motorists on the road.

I do both.

When I'm on a bike I try and be respectful to motorists, like looking for opportunities to let them past etc.

When I'm in a car it frustrates me that cyclists will cycle 2 abreast on thin country roads and not make any effort to let you through. I know the law states that you can ride 2 abreast but it does not mean you have to.

It's not about whether you ride a bike or drive a car, it's whether you behave like a cunt whatever your mode of transport.

We’ll see how many killer cyclists there are now…

Half of all car drivers are clinically obese, get on your bike!

Hermit a fat cunt in a car wouldn't be a fat cunt if he actually used a bike now and then

Surprisingly, there are knobs on bikes and knobs in cars - if you're too thick to understand that, I pity you!

This may shock some, but I like many have a car and a bike.

Re: Cyclists
A fat cunt in a car is infinitely more preferable to a fat middle-aged cunt bursting out of Lycra doing his max of 3-5 mph in the middle of the road.

The wobbling perverts should be done for indecent exposure.

I cycle about 3 mph and always down the middle

Must agree it is usually fat drivers with a ugly wife who take offence plus knowing my bike costs so so much more then the rust bucket they are driving must hurt.

oh well roll on the Sunday ride.

I love cycling at 5mph in middle of road as now well protected by the highway code and it really upsets the fatties in the motors behind

If there is a quirk in the law that means that people causing death can only serve 2 years then that SHOULD be changed.
